Slim with Nordic Walking - Get Fit, Slim & Healthy

What is “Slim with Nordic Walking”? It is a new concept in the UK, developed by Sabine Broecker, SABS Training, to combine three effective methods for initiating and maintaining weight loss. The five week weight loss attack programme consists of:

1. Nordic Walking to burn calories
2. Simple, easy to follow dietary rules to help you slim in your sleep
3. NLP mental techniques to think yourself slim

Courses are offered in and around Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.

You will be meeting with your fellow dieters and Sabine twice per week for five weeks.

What will the Slimming Programme look like?


1. NORDIC WALKING is a comfortable, easy, yet very powerful way to walk and to exercise your whole body. You will be using Nordic Walking poles and special technique to help power yourself along as you walk. This is significantly more effective than walking as you engage your lower AND upper body, exercising 97% of all your body’s muscles. And using more muscles burns more calories. Calorie consumption during Nordic walking is up to 46% higher than with normal walking, depending on walking speed. The increased use of the upper body reduces the load on your knees and other joints. This allows you to exercise with much more comfort than regular walking or jogging. It is an ideal sport for everybody, whatever weight you are.

It is a great, fun and very sociable outdoor workout. Done regularly, it will help you lose weight fast!

What to bring?
Wear good trainers or hiking shoes, comfortable trousers, possibly a rain jacket and a small bottle of water!

2. SIMPLE, EASY TO FOLLOW DIETARY RULES will help you to manage your food intake. We will start with a food diary with which you will become aware of how much you’re actually eating during the day.

Forget counting calories, adding points or anything complicated. We will be integrating a few, very simple dietary rules regarding
     •  what to eat
     •  how to combine foods
     •  at which times

Eat and exercise by your biological clock. Get slim in your sleep, the longest fat burning phase of the day!

You will combine foods differently. Especially your evening meals will be designed to fire up your metabolism over night so that you literally burn fat whilst you sleep.

3. NLP MENTAL TECHNIQUES to give you the edge and make it easier for you to stay on track. NLP is a very effective and powerful self management tool (as seen on TV with Paul McKenna or Darren Brown!). We will incorporate NLP throughout the programme to help you
     •  define your motivation
     •  visualize the New You
     •  uncover emotional obstacles
     •  celebrate every achievement along the way

This will help you to get motivated and to stay on track!
